I’m happily divorced the man who’d treated me so poorly turned into the best ex-husband I could ask for. I rely on my body to tell me, and it always does. Within a couple months, I had weaned myself off all of my medication and told my doctor, “Thanks for the help, and good-bye.” Now when I get an ache or a pain, I’m not afraid I simply ask myself what’s going on in my life that I need to deal with. On the flight home, I remembered Louise’s words: “It came from nowhere, so send it back to nowhere.” That’s where I’d send my arthritis-back to nowhere. I brought a good friend and had an amazing time. I then attended my first I Can Do It! Conference (I’ve since been to four more) in Las Vegas in 2005. Soon I was feeling so much better that I asked my doctor if I could reduce my medication. But after I began applying her teachings, it was as if the healing floodgates opened. As Louise says, be careful with your words! My body ended up obeying me, and the arthritis started in my feet. It wasn’t long before I realized that my marriage had been causing me to tell myself, I cannot stand this anymore. I decided to find out exactly why all of this had happened to me, and to see the blessing in my situation. Louise’s books and CDs were such a comfort during this time, helping me pull myself together. I was on five medications for the arthritis, and I slowly did feel some relief. (Adding insult to injury, he left me for a 22-year-old whom I’d hired to help out for the summer.) I felt as if I’d hit bottom and my world had been shattered. He decided to leave me because I was “sick and lazy.” We had three young children and a company we ran together. I’d developed arthritis that was so bad I could hardly walk, and I hurt everywhere. I was going through a divorce at age 40, after being worn down by a critical husband who verbally abused me until I had no self-esteem left. A couple of years back, I really needed that inspiration. I first discovered her more than a decade ago and was then led to other Hay House authors, all of whom inspired me greatly. Hay has touched my life in many subtle ways. I hope you find inspiration in the following story of recovery: This can help you get through the unpleasant experience and allow you to focus on healing your mind and soul. One way to deal with it is to change your perception of the situation simply do not give in to it! For example, instead of focusing on the fact that your wrist hurts, try referring to your wrist as having a lot of sensation. In order to heal the thoughts and beliefs that are the true source of the pain, you must face your pain head-on. But ignoring your body just makes it try harder to get your attention-your body is asking for your help. Often people try to hide from it, hoping that it will go away or that they can cover it up with medication. TOO BAD.Pain comes in so many different forms. GIVE ME A BREAK ! I've just thrown away the recording. Tell this to the hundreds of thousands of Iraq people driven from their homes or killed as a direct consequences of Dick and George's criminal conduct. Tell this to the 40,000 or so physically and mentally disabled American soldiers who suffered the consequences of George Bush's illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq based on GOVERNMETAL fraud and lies. Tell this to the families of over 4,000 families whose children were killed in Iraq. Tell this to the ordinary people of Iraq. SOME (not all) of this recording represents moral and intellectual suicide:įor example: "I affirm that each person in our government is loving, honest, honorable and is truly working for the betterment of all people." Tell this to people of my generation who "served" in Viet Nam (another war based on governmental lies). This "Christian" recording is NOT one of them. There's much inspirational and audio on the store. To me, they're DANGEROUS thoughts that can undermine my core values, so I can't listen to them. Just make sure that these are the thoughts you want to feed into your mind. Not a good life plan and counter-productive to achievement. And if you don't have expectations, you'll never reach any goals either. If you don't have expectations, you can't be disappointed." Well, that's true. The second one was something along the lines of, "I have NO EXPECTATIONS. She states something along the lines of, "I have been on this earTh many times before, sometimes as a man, sometimes as a woman, sometimes as a heterosexual sometimes as a homosexual." Well, as a Christian, I don't believe that, so I shouldn't subject my subconcious mind to it. There were two things that jumped out at me when I first listened to this CD that made me realize that I should not listen to it again.įirst, the reference to REINCARNATION. So it's very important not to listen to something over and over again unless it truly reflects your core values. The subconcious mind is very receptive to repetitive suggestion.

Maxwell learned that the only way to stop the curse was to gather Starites. The beggar ate the apple, but revealed that he had magical powers, and placed a curse on Lily that would turn her from flesh to stone. Because of this, Maxwell pulled a trick on a hungry beggar by writing down a rotten apple. But Edgar and Julie sent all their children out to face the challenges of the world since all these magical gifts made the children spoiled and mean. Maxwell received a special notebook, while Lily received a magical globe that took her all around the world (All the other gifts are not elaborated on however, leaving them open to speculation). They gave each of their children a special and magical gift. They had forty-two children in all, including Maxwell and Lily. Maxwell had 2 parents named Edgar and Julie, they had careers as explorers before they settled down to have children. WARNING: The following section contains plot spoilers!
